Jacedo (pronounced Jay See-Dough), a long lost descendant of the midwest mixtapers, began his musical life mixing records with homemade beats. After relocating to the Emerald City, the musical collection grew while young Jacedo practiced in bedrooms around the town. As gigs gradually grew from coffee shops to major clubs, a series of brief moves in Los Angeles, Portland and Rome influenced both his musical collection and style. Working with Special T in Portland and the Deep Rezonants crew in Rome helped to establish Jacedo’s versatility and fluidity between styles. While the soulful and samba sounds of drum & bass will always be Jacedo’s specialty, on rare occasions you might catch a genre jumping mash-up set swerving through downtempo, hip-hop, house, drum & bass and everything in between.

With dark beats and massive Brazilian flavor, Jacedo has been assisting Seattle to the dancefloor since 1999. Although recently working in Brooklyn, Jacedo will be back for Bethurum shows in November 2005.

As part of the earliest BETHURUM collaborative efforts in 1998, Jacedo is stoked to be bringing his taurine-powered turntable energy into the collective with bits beats breaks and grooves, truly adding live spice to the Collective's one of a kind sound.
