If you haven't seen Evan Flory-Barnes play the bass, then you have reelly never experienced double bass playing. Ripping up the Seattle jazz scene for the last 7 years, Evan's acoustic double bass skills have been featured in innumerable collaborations such as with Brazilian master pianist Jovino Santos Neto and forward thinking hip-hop band Maroon Colony. Evan Flory-Barnes is currently playing with the Afro-Cuban quintet Picosso and has his own compositions and soundscapes performed with his group "The Threat of Beauty"...sometimes performing as an complete 23 piece orchestra...email ev@u.washington.edu for the next big orchestral event.
